I began designing things 35+ years ago clothes, costumes, home furnishings, etc. I have always loved doing this and when life was happening, I gave it up, knowing that, someday, I could do it again. Now I have made the choice to let the floodgates of creativity go and WOW! I didn't know just how much pent up stuff would come out. With more oozing out daily, I have to sketch and make notes all the time to keep up.
The catalyst for this creativity was my store. Never had I had so much fun or been in a setting that allowed this to happen. When my store had to close, I felt I had to give up the designing, too. But it wouldn't let me go. So I kept it up. And started marketing in national publications. Like Quilter's Newsletter Magazine and McCall's Quilting Magazine.
While the ads are going quite well, it is time to see what the Internet will bring. This site has pictures and descriptions of the fruit of my best patterns. I love the country/primitive look and love dressing that way, too. However, wearable art isn't for everyone. I also began designing dolls. BOOM! They have been really well received! And finally, I've finished a book on raggedy dolls, quilts, and applique.
So, BCT has found a niche, in both wearable art and dolls. And now we're evolving again! As a life long quilter I have decided to add longarm quilting services to BCT. I will soon be posting some of my work for you to look at as well as some of my quilts for sale. I am excited to help you create your quilting dream!
